Toyota TogetherGreen fellows will be selected through a competitive, merit-based process. A review panel composed of individuals representing diverse fields, including conservation biology, leadership and training, strategic communications, education, and evaluation will review applications and identify the top candidates based on the following criteria:

Ability to articulate a community-based conservation project with well-defined objectives and measurable outcomes aligned with the goals of Toyota TogetherGreen. Objectives must be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound

Ability to present a well-planned set of activities to meet the proposed objectives

Personal interest in developing leadership skills, as well as demonstrated leadership through involvement in community and volunteer activities

Professional qualifications as evidenced by previous and current conservation-related experience, resume, and letters of recommendation

Desire and willingness to reach new and under-represented audiences, work across disciplines, and think creatively to achieve success
