Improving habitat through community involvement

As part of our TogetherGreen project (an Early Successional Shrub Habitat awareness initiative), we held a workday on November 6th with about 20 children ffrom the Charles A. Melton Arts & Education Center in West Chester, PA.

Audubon’s Toyota TogetherGreen program is thrilled to participate in a Toyota/LATISM (Latinos in Social Media) panel and Tweetup event, “Advancing Environmental Conservation in the Latino Community,” on Monday, November 19th from 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Fall Green Up Winner

 

Jessica Sprajcar is a Pennsylvania native who loves spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, and camping. So, it’s fitting that she would be the Grand Prize winner of the Fall Green Up challenge. As the winner, Jessica received a camping set from REI that included a tent and double sleeping bag.

Voyage on an Icebreaker

Audubon Alaska's Landscape Ecologist and 2012 TogetherGreen Fellow Melanie Smith is serving as a seabird observer on board the U.S. Coast Guard icebreaker the Healy as it travels through the Arctic Ocean for three weeks in October. You can track the Healy’s voyage on this map.
