TogetherGreen funding has allowed us to do so much—forming new partnerships, leveraging funds, making connections between pre-existing programs, starting new programs, in addition to the hands-on conservation and outreach work we’ve been able to accomplish.

What do a car company and a conservation organization have in common? Plenty. Innovation. Leadership. Commitment to community. Dedication to diversity. And a focus on meeting the needs of the present while investing in the future. When Audubon and Toyota joined forces to create TogetherGreen, we knew we wanted to create a conservation program that modeled those qualities.

To date, we have trained more than 400 conservation leaders. In turn, they have mobilized more than 210,000 people to reduce energy use, protect wildlife habitat, and improve water quality in every state in America.

TogetherGreen includes five major program elements:
  • Conservation Leadership: Building conservation leadership for the future. Forty Fellows per year receive training, networking support, and funding to conduct a conservation project.
  • Innovation Grants: Supporting cutting-edge projects that engage new audiences in conservation action. Over 40 partnerships receive funding and training per year.
  • Volunteer Days: Helping community-based organizations significantly expand their volunteer base. Over 40 organizations receive support each year to engage community members in hands-on conservation projects.
  • Pennies for the Planet: Educating and empowering tens of thousands of kids to get involved in conservation annually.
  • Togethergreen.org and Social Media: Inspiring people around the country to take conservation action where they live.
